Choosing which style depends on your location, and if other trash receptacles are nearby. You may choose a mini station or dispenser only, if you have limited space and have a trash can within a few feet to dispose of dog waste. If there is not a trash receptacle within a few feet, full stations, with trash cans included, are always recommended.

Installing dog waste stations requires consideration of various factors to ensure effective waste management and promote responsible pet ownership. Determining the number of dog waste stations needed on a property depends on several factors including the size of the property, the number of dogs and dog owners in the community, and the usage patterns of the area.

Condo/Apartment/HOA:

For condominiums, apartments, or HOA communities, it's recommended to install one dog waste station for every 50 units. Alternatively, if the units are clustered in groups of less than 50, place one station for each housing cluster.
Monitor usage regularly and install additional stations if waste cans are filling up or dispensers run low on bags more than once a week.

Parks:

In parks, place one dog waste station approximately every 500 feet. Regular monitoring of usage is essential, and additional stations should be installed if waste cans fill up or dispensers run low on bags more than once a week.
Following a "rule of thumb", provide one station for every 50 dogs passing by each day. For instance, a park frequented by 500 dogs daily would require 10 stations.
Cleaner parks tend to be more utilized by residents, leading to higher satisfaction levels with local government.

Dog Parks:

Dog parks, especially on weekends, experience high usage. It's advisable to have twice the number of dog waste stations compared to regular parks.
Ensure there's a station located immediately outside the dog park area, along with multiple stations inside the park.
